MINDFUL MOVEMENT YOGA | 50+ YRS Leilani Lovell Mindful Movement Yoga is crafted to cater to the needs of Older Adults. A gentle modified flow to aid in the movements needed to stay independent throughout life, while providing access to the benefits of yoga including meditation, breath work, & other practices focused on nervous system regulation. You leave energized & refreshed after a well-rounded yoga practice which allows you mindful tools for reducing stress & inviting a calm sense of being. This is NOT a chair yoga class. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold® is the perfect fit. We practice basic yoga poses that tone and strengthen, increase flexibility and improve balance. We transition to Pilates mat exercises to focus on core muscles that help strengthen and reshape the mid-section. Class concludes with deep stretching and relaxation. No experience necessary and modifications are suggested for most exercises.
