Multi-Generational MOTHER’S DAY PORCH PLANTER WORKSHOP ALL AGES Ashleigh Lemon, Lemon Garden Designs Join us for a perfect Mother’s Day event to get your hands dirty and get creative. Ashleigh Lemon, owner of Lemon Garden Designs, provides step-by-step instructions for the design of your patio containers as well as tips for the care and maintenance of your beautiful creations throughout the season. All tools and materials are provided, including a patio container, summer annual plants, potting mix and slow-release fertilizer. Please choose either a sun (six hours or more of sun per day) or a shade (less than six hours of sun per day) patio container when registering. Makes a great Mother’s Day gift. All are welcome; you do not need to be a mother to participate. Register one person per planter; other guests (including children) are welcome to accompany you and assist. ARBOR DAY AFTERNOON STROLL AT FANCYBURG PARK | 18+ YRS UA City Tree Commissioners Immerse yourself in the beauty of the trees at Fancyburg Park as members of the Upper Arlington Tree Commission lead a leisurely afternoon Arbor Day stroll! Learn about dozens of different tree species, engage in trivia and enjoy some poe TREE as you stroll the park’s walking paths. The class walks approximately one mile during the activity, starting at the information board near the shelter on the east side of the park. Enjoy the fellowship of friends new and old while fishing at Ashton Pond, take a walk through the forest with Metro Parks’ Outreach and Camp staff, make crafts and play nature bingo. All the campers are age 50 or older. All campers bring their own lunch and water to drink. Transportation to the Museum is provided via our 14-passenger bus. Challenge level 2. Slow down and connect with nature using your spirit and senses. Your guide, trained by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, leads you in a series of activities on a gentle walk. Dress for the weather, including sturdy, preferably waterproof shoes, as trails can be muddy. We travel to Batelle Darby Creek Metro Park for our outing.
