KAYAKING THE SCIOTO RIVER | 50+ YRS Hoover Adventures Looking for an outdoor aquatic adventure? Join us as Hoover Adventures leads us on an excursion and provides kayaks, paddles, life vests and instructions. Included is a demonstration of how to paddle and how to get in and out of the kayaks. We meet on the east side of the Scioto River, just north of the Fishinger Bridge in Griggs Reservoir Park. Entry to the park is south of the Fishinger Bridge on Nottingham and Riverside Drive, drop down to the river and turn right, the park road takes you to parking spots at our launch location. Participants must agree to waiver for equipment rental from Hoover Adventures. Meeting location is also emailed to registrants a few days prior to the event. This event is weather dependent; participants are contacted in case of any weather issues. Rain date scheduled on Friday, July 11 should July 8 be cancelled. 552721 A 10-11:30 am Tu 7/8 Griggs Reservoir Park Boat Launch $40 R-BCCC M | $48 NR NATURE TRIP CHALLENGE LEVELS Challenge Level 1 (Easy) – Minimal walking/standing, may include some stairs Challenge Level 2 (Moderate) – Possible overnight stay, moderate walking/standing, may include stairs and/or uneven terrain Challenge Level 3 (Moderate Active) – longer walking/standing periods of time, quicker pace, includes stairs and/or more difficult terrain Challenge Level 4 (Challenging Active) – very active paced activity/program, extensive walking/standing, includes stairs/ hills and/or extended outdoor weather exposure
