YOGA FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP 16+ YRS Dreana Nealon “Now, begins the teachings of yoga.” Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1:1 Start or restart your yoga practice off feeling confident and comfortable as you work closely with certified yoga instructor, Dreana Nealon. Learn common yoga poses, their benefits and proper alignment to suit your body and skill level. Each week, learn new postures that build on the previous week. Week four concludes the remaining poses and incorporates a short, fun yoga flow to music that includes sun salutations! Workshop notes provided. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a pen to take notes. We explore basic yoga postures, with some opportunities for more challenging poses weaved in, along with plenty of variations offered to accommodate all levels. Prior yoga experience is helpful, but not necessary. This challenges participant’s balance, strength, mobility & focus. Short cardio bursts are offered throughout for additional cardiovascular health benefits. The goal of this class is to create the potential of strength improvements built through repetition of the class sequence each month. Each class works the full body and focuses on upper, lower & core exercises. All levels welcome.
