Bob Crane Community Center Fitness Spaces Welcome to the fitness offerings at the state-of-the-art Bob Crane Community Center! We are excited to elevate your fitness journey with a diverse range of fitness areas and programming spread across multiple levels. Level One offers an extensive selection of cardio equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and stairmills, alongside a dedicated strength area featuring pin-loaded machines, plate loaded equipment, weight benches and racks. The Mezzanine offers more cardio options like treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers and Nu-Steps, as well as two group exercise rooms for a wide range of fitness classes. For those seeking a specialized workout experience, the Level Three functional fitness spaces, adjacent to the Auxiliary Gym is complete with a strength pulley system, bike, rower, stairmill and functional fitness equipment. Additionally, the surrounding track area on Level Five is equipped with strength equipment and a stretching zone, offering a comprehensive approach to health and wellness for all fitness levels. Fitness spaces and equipment are available to be utilized by members of the Bob Crane Community Center who are 16 years or older. Children 12-15 years old and directly supervised by a parent/guardian or have completed the Junior Fitness Orientation have authorization to utilize the fitness areas and equipment as well as participate in Adult Fitness classes. Fitness Floor Orientations: Junior and Adult Join our Junior (12-17 yrs) and Adult (18+ yrs) Fitness Orientations, designed to introduce you to the proper and safe use of strength and cardiovascular equipment. This orientation is designed to help you get familiar with our space, equipment, and our fitness rules so you can make the most out of your workout experience. Whether you’re new to the gym or looking to refresh your knowledge, this orientation is a great way to build confidence and set a strong foundation for success. CYCLE UA | ALL AGES Recreation Staff Enjoy a family-friendly community bike ride through Upper Arlington complete with built-in rest stops, parks and neighborhood views. This is a hybrid event offering a large group event ride including a finish line celebration with snacks, games and music, or enjoy independent ride opportunities on your own time over the span of a whole weekend. Courses in 5-mile, 10-mile and 15-mile lengths available; all routes start and finish at Northam Park. Course map, directions and ride packets with coupons/swag available to all registered riders. Cycle UA t-shirt included with registration before August 19; t-shirts not guaranteed with registration after August 19. Helmets are mandatory for all riders. Ages 4 and under are free (no shirt included), but must be registered in sections D or H. If you would like a shirt for your child, you need to register them for a course length. Pre-registration required for all riders. We are also looking for volunteers who can receive a free t-shirt if they sign up by August 19 and show up for their shift.
