Winter 2026 Activity Guide
THE PLEIN AIR EXPERIENCE | 18+ YRS Vivian Ripley Location TBD and communicated closer to class date. Vivian chooses a location that provides more than one option for an interesting view, a convenient set-up arrangement, a nearby restaurant and bathroom facility. Paint in your medium of choice. Consider the components of a good composition: the light source available, how to simplify, what to leave in or take out. Vivian begins her composition, describing as she is painting. This process helps you compose and begin your own work. Vivian can help you with any decisions and directions along the way. You may want to stay at the location during the lunch break depending on the light situation. End with a constructive group critique. In case of inclement weather, meet at the BCCC and continue with a photo reference. New and more advanced plein air painters are welcome. There is a one hour lunch break. 441170 A 9:30 am-4 pm Sa 3/28 BCCC, Level 2, Art Room $68 R-BCCC | $82 NR CREATING IN CLAY | 18+ YRS Alyssa Colasanti & Sarah Colasanti This section is for those with past pottery wheel experience that want to hone their craft during studio time with no instruction provided.
