OSU INTEGRATIVE HEALTH SERIES | 18+ YRS The Center for Integrative Health at Ohio State offers comprehensive complementary health care in the new Bob Crane Community Center. Experts treat the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. The sessions below introduce some of the services OSU offers. INTRO TO CHIROPRACTIC CARE John Grandominico, DC, DACRB In this introduction, you gain an understanding of chiropractic care and common conditions we treat. 442312 A 5-6 pm W 4/15 BCCC, Level 2, Program Room A Free, registration required HEALTHY EATING FOR BUSY SCHEDULES & SPRING TRAVEL Hannah Santoni, MDN, RDN, LD, IFNCP In this class, we cover what it means to create balanced meals and snacks, tips for meal planning when time is not on your side, and tricks for fueling while traveling to feel your best. Led by an OSU integrative medicine dietitian, this session is designed to simplify what healthy eating means and how to translate those practices to a fast-paced lifestyle. 442311 A Noon-1 pm Th 5/7 BCCC, Level 2, Program Room A Free, registration required INTRO TO ACUPUNCTURE David Wang, Ph.D., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., Dipl. C.H. This class offers a general introduction to acupuncture, including its basic principles, commonly used tools, and treatment methods. Participants gain an overview of what happens during an acupuncture session, conditions that acupuncture may help support, and key safety considerations, including contraindications. NATURE BIRDING BY BOAT – KAYAKING | 18+ YRS Recreation and Parks Columbus Explore the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir and look for local wildlife! The group paddles towards the nature preserve and uses binoculars to see what can be found along the way. Dress for the weather and wear closed toed shoes that can get muddy. All paddling equipment provided. Please note, this program is weather dependent. Swim in the indoor pool, bike on a spin bike and run around the indoor track. Each leg of the event is 20-minutes and your distance is recorded. Medals are awarded to winners with the furthest distance. Your heat time is assigned five business days prior to the event, with the heat start times being scheduled between 7 am-Noon. All participants receive a t-shirt and swim cap. Join us every Tuesday night for a thrilling eight-to 10-week season full of competitive games and unforgettable moments. You can expect the same from our Fall League held over five to six weeks on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Team registration only, so gather your squad and sign up today! The team registration deadline is Friday, April 10 for the Summer League and Friday, August 14 for the Fall League. Individual players looking for a team can reach out to our Recreation Sports Supervisor at 614-583-5316. Don’t miss out, more details and timelines are shared once teams are registered.
