Local Day Trips Enjoy these opportunities for local exploration and fun! You may register for day trips after seasonal registration begins. Registration can be done online, over the phone or in person with UA Parks & Rec. All transportation provided via the City’s comfortable 14-passenger shuttle bus. Gather with new friends to enjoy a meal out on the town. You may register to ride in our 14-passenger bus or there are a limited number of spots for those who would like to drive on their own at the same price. Bring a payment method to purchase all meals and beverages. Attendees order at the restaurant; no pre-ordering required. End time varies depending upon meal service and traffic. Pre-register at least one week prior. Passenger bus riders meet at the Bob Crane Community Center Café. Self-drivers receive the restaurant
Explore Jungle Jim’s International Market’s vast selection of unique foods, international goods, and quirky attractions, including themed sections and specialty items. Then, tour the American Sign Museum and see a collection that explores both the innovation and ingenuity of the signs that shape our culture. Be sure to bring along a smartphone to participate in the audio tour. Afterwards, eat lunch at Incline Public House. Transportation to and from Cincinnati is provided via our 14-passenger bus. Register by 5/14. 552903 A 8 am-6 pm W 5/21 BCCC, Level 1, Caf é $40 R-BCCC M | $48 NR LAVENDER FARM, HISTORIC CLIFTON MILL & YELLOW SPRINGS DAY TRIP | 50+ YRS Recreation Staff We start our trip at Sunset Ridge Lavender Farm during peak lavender bloom season to pick our own lavender bunches and browse the gift shop full of lavender goods. With bunches in hand, we head to Historic Clifton Mill, one of the largest water powered mills still in operation. We enjoy a guided tour of the inner workings of the mill and see firsthand one of America’s earliest industries. We leave the mill to head to downtown Yellow Springs, a small town known for its vibrance, cultural diversity and artistic presence. Choose a lunch spot and spend some free time exploring the various eclectic shops and galleries in the downtown area. After shopping ‘til we drop, we head to Young’s Dairy for an ice cream cone before heading back home. Registration includes lavender u-pick bundle, guided tour and transportation in our 14-passenger shuttle bus. Lunch, ice cream and gift shopping on your own. If you’ve been before, it is time to return to see how this amazing wild animal haven is developing. Designed to help conserve and learn more about endangered and rare animals, The Wilds is home to cranes, Zebras, rhinos, camels, elands and cheetahs. Take a chance on a trip like no other. Bring a payment method for lunch and any gift shopping. Registration includes an open air safari ride, tour and transportation to and from The Wilds in our 14-passenger shuttle bus.
