THEATRE 360: THE MAGIC OF DISNEY 5-12 YRS Columbus Children’s Theatre Unleash your imagination in this immersive week-long camp where students explore on-stage performance and backstage magic. Campers rotate through acting, singing, dancing and stagecraft classes, learning skills in costume design, lighting, sound and set creation. Working together they bring Disney’s stories to life and showcase their talents in a magical performance. Through hands-on activities and creative projects, campers work together to create their own show, learning the skills needed to make it all happen backstage. Guided by expert instructors, explore upcycling through sewing, embellishing and painting to create one-of-a-kind garments and accessories. Emphasizing sustainability, creativity and self-expression, this class fosters confidence and artistic freedom. Participants create wearable art while learning how to extend the life of clothing and care for the planet. In this class, parents explore various styles of dance with their baby, experiencing different movements, music and rhythms, enjoying the creativity and connection that dancing together makes possible and benefiting from the social interaction of dancing in a room with others. We start seated and then, if you can, move around the room upright while holding baby. Parents should be able to hold baby during movements, supporting them safely. Using a baby carrier is suggested. Professional dance instructor Daphne Meimaridis has taught adults and children of all ages and danced with her own baby from birth. Register parent only. 442020 A 9-9:45 am Th 4/10-5/8 BCCC, Level 2, Program Room B $100 R-BCCC M | $120 NR O 5 sessions ARTISTIC EXPLORATION | 4-12 YRS Brush Crazy Unleash your creativity and express yourself through a variety of fun and engaging art forms. This hands-on class encourages imagination and artistic development as kids work with different mediums, including molding clay to create unique sculptures, painting ceramics and decorating their clay creations with vibrant glaze paints. They also explore the world of painting on wood and canvas, experimenting with different styles and techniques. To add an extra splash of color, students learn the art of tie-dying shirts, creating their own wearable works of art.
