SKYHAWKS CHEERLEADING | 6-10 YRS Skyhawks Sports Academy Skyhawks Sports cheerleading teaches young athletes all the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the team while preparing for competition. Each athlete learns Skyhawks Sports cheers, as well as the proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques that make cheering the competitive sport it is today. Players are taught the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense, and the concept of game play. Camp also features fun based contests and competitions to keep the learning fun and interactive. Instruction is tailored to each camper’s age and skill level. All campers receive a camp shirt. Every child receives an award certificate, Skyhawks t-shirt and ball. 222238 A 9 am-Noon M-F 7/22-7/26 Sunny 95 Park $179 R | $215 NR O 5 sessions COLUMBUS RUNNING COMPANY GRASSHOPPERS | GRADES 3-6 Columbus Running Company The Grasshoppers is a youth running club led by the Columbus Running Company (CRC). During the summer, CRC hosts club locations throughout Central Ohio, including a location in Upper Arlington. The summer club practices twice a week, participates in several optional races, and is designed to guide children into a lifetime of running. The hour-long practices are a mix of running and active games, with lessons sprinkled in. This is a great season for first-timers, experienced runners, and kids looking to build speed or endurance for other sports. Registration is processed by Columbus Running Company at Columbusrunning.com/grasshoppers. Program includes a singlet, T-shirt, bag, three race entries, season-completion medal, coaching and membership within the RRCA national running club. Scholarships are available.
