VISIT THE CANOPY WALK | 50+ YRS Recreation Staff The Canopy Walk at Blacklick Woods Metro Park opened on May 17, 2024 and features an accessible boardwalk suspended 40 feet above the ground, along with rope bridges, a two-story play area, a cargo net and an observation deck to look for birds or enjoy the views of nature. The Canopy Walk can be accessed via an elevator, but access to the observation deck requires a short flight of stairs. Enjoy free time at the Canopy Walk to stroll along the 660-foot-long boardwalk, visit the observation deck, stretch out on the cargo net hammock-style, or cross the three rope bridges if you are feeling adventurous. Afterwards we stop at Culver’s for ice cream before we head home. Bring a payment method for ice cream if you want to purchase it. Registration includes transportation to and from the Senior Center in our 14-passenger shuttle bus. Slow down and connect with nature using your spirit and senses. Your guide, trained by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, leads you in a series of activities on a gentle walk. Dress for the weather, including sturdy, preferably waterproof shoes, as trails can be muddy. All sessions are a challenge Level 3. Join Shelby Watkins on a guided tour of this beautiful city park. With close access to Upper Arlington, this park offers amenities for all ages. Tennis shoes or hiking boots required.
