SUSTAINABLE GIFT WRAP CREATIONS 5-14 YRS Fashion Academy Picture a fun-filled workshop where kids transform into fashion citizens and artists! In our two-hour “Sustainable Gift-Wrap Creations,” young crafters learn embroidery and upcycling techniques to create custom, handmade, and uniquely sustainable gift wraps. Through engaging stories and activities, explore how creations can make gift-giving even more special and stay environmentally friendly. Engage in hands-on activities that focus on the topics of anthropology, archaeology, and chemistry! Learn about the 206 bones in our bodies, dig up some cool artifacts, break some pots, freeze some bubbles while learning about dry ice, touch some artifacts while delving into the past, practice throwing spears and much, much, more. Our goal is to assist every student to feel more comfortable while home alone. This interactive course teaches topics such as First Aid, Self-Heimlich maneuver, reasons to call 911, fire escape plans, microwave safety and how to problem solve out of the ordinary situations. Does your child have test anxiety? Life hacks and prioritization skills can be developed in a tween’s life if practiced early. Super Study Skillz helps your child finetune organizational and study skills and how best to apply these skills in school, using hands-on activities such as discovering how they learn best, organizing their backpack, and creating a realistic schedule. BETTER BABYSITTERS | 9-13 YRS ENRICHING KIDZ Would your child know what to do if the child they were babysitting were choking? Does your child babysit their younger sibling? This class includes guest speakers from the local Police Division as your child learns the skills to be a Better Baby Sitter. All students receive their own first aid kit to take home.
