NATIONAL FAMILY CAREGIVER’S SUPPORT 18+ YRS UA CARES Join us this November in recognition of National Family Caregivers Month for an informative and supportive education session dedicated to those who provide care for loved ones. This session explores the vital role family caregivers play in supporting individuals with chronic illness, aging-related needs, and disabilities. Participants gain practical tools and strategies to manage caregiving responsibilities, reduce stress, and maintain their own health and well-being. Topics include effective communication with healthcare providers, navigating community resources, preventing caregiver burnout, and balancing caregiving with personal life. 553688 A 5-6 pm W 11/4 BCCC, Level 2, Program Room B Free, registration required IT HAS A ‘RING’ TO IT: HOW TO MANAGE TINNITUS | 50+ YRS Gail Whitelaw, PhD, Audiologist and Director of OSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic Tinnitus is a sound experienced in the ears, usually described as a ringing, buzzing, hissing in the ears. Tinnitus impacts as many as 70 million Americans. However, most people are told to “get over it” or that there’s nothing that can be done to relieve the tinnitus. This session is designed to provide an overview of tinnitus and to share solutions that are available to people experiencing tinnitus. The program was started right here in Columbus and has expanded throughout the world. For the NW Kiwanis outdoor walks in September and October, please park at the parking lot located at 2335 N. Earn your American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
