Since consolidating various older adult programs under the City’s service umbrella early in 2026, the team has been working to enhance existing programming, explore new service options, centralize and expand volunteer opportunities, and simplify the aging experience for older adults, their families and caregivers. 2026 Aging in UA Older Adults Survey Our sincere thanks to the approximately 800 community members who completed our survey in May. Some key findings to emerge include: • Remaining safely in their homes and neighborhoods is important to the vast majority of respondents. • Many older adults are worried about financial pressures, such as increasing property taxes, falling victim to scams, and medical expenses. • While most respondents find it relatively easy to find the services they need, 43% find it somewhat or very hard. • Many respondents indicated that they need help with projects around the home, such as cleaning/organizing, snow removal, yard work, and minor home repairs. These findings (and more) will help inform our enhancement of existing and development of new STAY UA services and The STAY UA team is launching an online support tool designed to help older adults find the help they need, oftentimes by connecting them with community volunteers. • Register With Us: Older adults will be able to register for free to be linked to our STAY UA support services. • Want to Volunteer? Register with us on the Volunteer section of the portal, to help older adults with various basic daily activities.
