QPR TRAINING 67
BOB CRANE COMMUNITY CENTER ANNUAL CLOSURE 3
JAZZ AT THE BARN 32
Learn practical, proven suicide prevention skills through QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training from the QPR Institute. Participants learn how to recognize warning signs of suicide, offer hope, and connect individuals with appropriate support and resources.
From September 8-15, the Community Center will be closed, a practice that will be scheduled for early fall each year. The closure provides a dedicated period for maintenance, deep cleaning, and staff training, ensuring the facility is well-prepared for the busy indoor season ahead.
Bring your chair and a picnic and enjoy an evening of live jazz with Ron Holmes on the lawn at the Amelita Mirolo Barn. Relax under the autumn sky, savor the music, and connect with your community in this casual, outdoor performance.
PLAY UA Financial Assistance Program
“…[PLAY UA] helped me give more ‘normal’ to my son and helped him fit in with his friends. It is part of the reason I chose to move to UA and why we love living here, with the support of our community.” UA Parks & Rec is committed to eliminating barriers for individuals and families, so that everyone can enjoy our programs and facilities. Don’t let a financially challenging situation prevent you from enjoying time at the Community Center or the many programs offered in our Enrich section. Learn more about PLAY UA and how to qualify today: upperarlingtonoh.gov/PlayUA . This service is funded by a $1 fee charged to most recreation transactions. Customers may opt to make additional donations.
