AQUATICS INDOOR LEARN TO SWIM The Learn-to-Swim program offers American Red Cross swim lessons for ages 6 months through adult, at all skill levels. Learn to-Swim teaches water safety skills in logical group classes at the BCCC. The Learn-to-Swim Program focuses on building skills one step at a time, giving participants the opportunity to master one element before moving on to the next. Instructors receive certification/training through UA Parks & Rec and/or American Red Cross. The student to instructor ratio is generally 8:1 for Parent/Guardian/Child, 4:1 for Preschool, 5:1 for Levels 1-5, and 1:1 for adaptive aquatics. PARENT/GUARDIAN/CHILD | 6 MOS-3 YRS Parent/Guardian/Child 1: Parent/Guardian and Child Aquatics Pre-requisites: For children between the ages of 6 months and approximately 3 years. Familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. Provide safety information for parents and teach techniques parents can use to orient their children to the water. Parent/guardians are expected to get in the water with the child.
