SUNDAY SWIM | ALL AGES Our popular Sunday Swim program returns to the Upper Arlington High School this fall. This program is in the competition pool with lap lanes in place. Participants enter through the natatorium vestibule on the south side of the high school. Changing rooms are available. We hold one lane for families to swim, but this program is primarily for lap swimmers. A joint program of the City’s Fire and Police divisions, UA CARES is focused on education, injury prevention and building community partnerships to help improve residents’ lives. Programs include: • Coordinated Care – CARES supports partnerships with local healthcare

providers, creating coordinated home care support for older adults and other vulnerable residents. The goals: reduce calls for emergency services; reduce unecessary hospitalizations; provide healthcare navigation support; make connections with community resources. • CARES Registry - team members meet with and learn about the needs of caregivers and individuals with cognitive, communication or mobility impairments, or complex medical needs, to develop a trusting relationship in readiness for any emergency situations. • Home Safety Checks & Fall Risk Assessments – a CARES representative can conduct a confidential home and non-medical health assessment to help individuals remain safely in their homes. • Community CPR: Heartsaver/AED Program - attain CPR certification and learn how to use an Automatic External Defibrilabor (AED) through this class.
