Technology IPHONE SERIES | 50+ YRS Gregg Montgomery, TechKnowledge Finally, classes to help you get the most out of your iPhone. These classes are taught using an iPhone as the teaching tool. Bring your Apple ID and password to class. Participants need to be a current UA Senior Association member.

CALENDARS We look at the Calendars app to discover different ways to view the calendar and how to add new events to keep your busy schedule organized. We also discuss creating alert reminders, repeating events and using the calendar to schedule FaceTime calls. 551203 A 1-3 pm M 1/22 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 NOTES Learn how to use the Notes app to quickly take note of things when no paper and pen are handy. We discuss managing notes and folders to help you keep your notes organized for efficient use. 551204 A 1-3 pm M 1/29 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 REMINDERS One of the best apps that many people are not using, the Reminders app is used to make everyday lists like To Do lists, Grocery lists and more. We discuss creating and using your various lists. 551205 A 1-3 pm M 2/5 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SIRI This class is more of a demonstration, as we look at how to use Siri, which is the voice interactive digital assistant for the iPhone. PODCASTS Discover the world of podcasts! Podcasts are nothing new, and yet remain a lesser known resource of information. Podcasts are like radio shows, covering more topics than one can imagine, chock full of information for any interest. Most podcasts are free, so whatever your interest, there is a podcast for you! There are multiple resources for podcasts, but we focus on using the Apple Podcasts app for iPhone and iPad. 551207 A 1-3 pm M 3/4 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 MUSIC The music industry has undergone several overhaul changes in the digital age, leaving consumers with overwhelming choices as to how to find and listen to their favorite music. Apple provides both a music subscription or a pay per item model. In addition, we discuss Pandora; another popular choice for music Ready or not, making digital payments with your iPhone is the new normal. Come and learn the security issues and process for using your credit card on your iPhone to pay for things at retailers. We also discuss using the Wallet for other things like storing loyalty cards, concert tickets and boarding passes. 551233 A 1-3 pm M 3/18 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 WHAT’S NEW IN IOS 17 With tons of improvements and new features, iOS 17 makes the iPhone even more helpful and fun.
