Painting on a gesso surface provides an opportunity for experimentation, creating light values as well as vibrant clean colors. In this watercolor workshop, after designing our paintings and learning how to save the whites, we actually pour paints onto a surface as we watch the mingling colors result in lights, darks and the unexpected! Next, we enhance and further accent our poured images with brushwork as we each create and complete an entirely unique painting. Some basic art experience is helpful.
