SUMMER PICKLEBALL DOUBLES TOURNAMENT 18+ YRS Tournament Organizer: Jim Lathrop Compete in this non-sanctioned, outdoor doubles tournament! Four divisions available for players rated 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 or 4.5 according to the USA Pickleball Association Player Skill Ratings rubric. Maximum of 12 teams per division. Sign up as a team for the division matching the skill level of the most advanced player in your duo. Teams play several matches, but tournament format may vary based on total number of teams in each division. First, second and third place teams in each division receive awards. Sign up one person per team; price is per team, not per person. Note your team member through registration. Teams and divisions are co-ed; teams can be same gender or mixed. Open to residents and non residents. Please sign up no later than May 12. The anticipated start times for each division are listed below (subject to change); we anticipate play for each division to last between two-three hours with full registration, or less with fewer teams. ADULT COED TRAVEL PICKLEBALLZONE LEAGUE | 18+ YRS This league consists of coed pickleball teams that play on Sundays, traveling for matches throughout Central Ohio. Start times for matches vary and start between 11 am to 3 pm at the various locations. Home matches are played at Thompson Park. On rain dates, matches would take place indoors; nominal entrance fee may apply for indoor play. Matches are held June 2 to July 28. There are no matches July 7 due to the holiday weekend. A play-off of the top teams in each division level takes place on August 4. Teams of four skill levels are available. The Level 1 division consists of players with ratings between 2.5-2.9. The Level 2 division consists of players with ratings between 3.0-3.4. The Level 3 division consists of players with ratings between 3.5-3.9. The Level 4 division consists of players with ratings at 4.0 and higher. To self-rate, visit the USA Pickleball website and view the Player Skill Ratings rubric. Cost is $36 per person for residents who live/work in UA and $43 for non-residents; couples welcome. Limited team roster availability. We are looking for team captains, too!
