The Mac series is for anyone who wants to learn more about how to use their Mac computer. The casual setting of the Mac Lab means there is plenty of opportunity for questions along the way. Mac laptops are provided to class participants for each class. EDITING/SHARING PHOTOS & MAKING SLIDESHOWS

MAKING PHOTO BOOKS PrestoPhoto is a relatively new app that works within the Mac’s Photos app to help users create books, as well as other photo keepsakes. The app is free, but the printed books you create do incur a charge when you order your book. We discuss how to install PrestoPhoto, and then use it to create a personally designed photo book with your photos that can be printed and shipped right to your door. 552208 A 1-3 pm Tu 6/25 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 CREATING BASIC SPREADSHEETS WITH NUMBERS A powerful spreadsheet application, Numbers is Apple’s answer to Microsoft Excel. In this class, we discuss how to work with a spreadsheet’s columns and cells to create a spreadsheet that suits your needs. We make a simple organizational list type spreadsheet, as well as a basic check register spreadsheet for

This class is a follow up to the first Photos class, picking up with how to edit photos, as well as how to share them via email/text, or even via iCloud Shared Albums. Built-in to the Photos app on your Mac is the ability to make nice and simple slideshows with music that can be saved and shared with friends. We make a short practice slideshow during class. 552205 A 1-3 pm Tu 5/21 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SCANNING, SCREENSHOTS & PREVIEW This class demonstrates how to scan photos and documents into your Mac using the printer/scanner you already have at home. We also discuss how take Screenshots on your Mac to capture information on your screen. Finally, we discuss the Preview app, used to convert file types, make quick edits to documents and photos and more. 552206 A 1-3 pm Tu 5/28 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SYSTEM SETTINGS The System Settings (Preferences) is one of the most underutilized but most important tools to understand about your Mac. System Settings is where we find the control panels of the Mac, used not only for troubleshooting problems, but also for customizing the look and feel of your Mac.
