Because our view of self colors and influences how we think, act, feel, learn, the quality of our relationships and how we see the world. Billed as unsinkable, the Titanic remains the deadliest peacetime sinking of a superliner or cruise ship. When the ship sank, many of the lifeboats were only about half full, much to the demise of the 1,500+ people who went down with the ship. Learn about the events of this maiden voyage and some unique trivia and facts that may surprise and astound you. Much of the focus examines the themes and ask three questions: What can you learn of value about yourself? Other people? Humanity and the world in general? Participants enjoy a leisurely stroll on our accessible paved paths and through Sunny 95 Park. While on your stroll, you grab your reusable lunch bag, collect your lunch items, enjoy the outdoor scenery while meeting vendors, making friends and enjoying various activities at your own pace. The walk leads to the Amelita Mirolo Barn, where there is live entertainment, picnicking, and time with friends. This is a rain or shine event, so prepare with hat, umbrella or sunscreen as needed. You must register in advance. To receive your SilverSneakers® discount, please bring your SilverSneakers® card to the registration table when you check in. Need a ride to the Sandwich Stroll? Sign up for our shuttle service. Shuttle service runs from the Senior Center to Sunny 95 Park and space is limited.
