Youth FISHING FANATICS | 8-12 YRS Recreation Staff

Multi-Generational STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING: ALL LEVELS ALL AGES Sarah Sutton, WPA 2/SUPYoga Certified Coach This class is designed with everyone in mind - from first time paddlers to those with lots of SUP experience. Beginners learn paddle technique, how to launch, stand, maneuver your board and how to safely navigate the waterways. Those with more experience have the option of refreshing their knowledge during the beginner lesson or taking advantage of more time on the water instead. All paddlers have the opportunity to enjoy exploring Griggs Reservoir. All equipment, safety gear and photos of your session provided. SUP is family friendly, but children must use their own board, be at least 60” tall and at least 100 lbs. Swimming ability is required. Limited enrollment. Specific meeting location is shared the week of the event. Ensure your email & phone number are update to date in your Parks & Rec account in case of weather changes. Then, enjoy fall nature crafting and either make a leaf craft using colorful fall foliage or create mini acorn people. Staff also explain uses and benefits for fallen leaves and autumn tree droppings, beyond crafting of course! Informative and fun for all ages. Seasonal treats provided. Kids can run, explore, build, splash and get curious in nature’s playground. Let their creativity run wild in nature. No Problem! Get away from the city as we take a trip to a few Metro Parks around Franklin County! The Franklin County Metro Parks has some amazing hiking trails and sights to see such as waterfalls, caves and spectacular trails and views. Please pack a lunch and water and get ready to explore!
