WINDOWS 10 SERIES | 50+ YRS Gregg Montgomery, TechKnowledge Students use our computers for the Windows 10 classes. Participants need to be a current UA Senior Association member.

BASICS This class covers everything you need to know to get started. We talk about Icons, Taskbar, Start Menu, Apps, Tiles and Notifications. Learn how to get around and find things in your Windows 10 environment. 553271 A 1-3 pm Tu 10/31 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 ORGANIZE YOUR FILES This class is all about using File Explorer to create folders to organize your files. We discuss the folders that Windows provides to help get you started and how to create a hierarchy of folders as you get organized. 553272 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/7 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SURFING THE WEB We learn how to use the Windows built-in web browser, Microsoft Edge. Learn how to store and organize your favorite web pages as bookmarks for easy access later. We discuss ways to stay safe online as well. 553273 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/14 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 Downloadable eBooks and audiobooks and streaming movies, TV and music: learn about the latest and most popular additions to the library’s e-resource collections and learn how to watch, read and listen from home using your computer or mobile device. We also discuss how to use the Sticky Notes app to keep organized all those little notes and things that you need to reference from time to time. 553275 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/28 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 ORGANIZE YOUR PHOTOS Learn how to import photos to your PC, as well as use the MyPictures folder to organize, edit and share your photos. 553276 A 1-3 pm Tu 12/5 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 DISCOVER NORTHSTAR DIGITAL LITERACY WITH THE UA PUBLIC LIBRARY | 50+ YRS UA Library Representative Gain confidence in using essential software like Windows 10 and Microsoft Office and in navigating the Internet, email and telehealth appointments. Northstar Digital Literacy is a free resource that helps you assess your knowledge and make a plan to improve the computer skills that matter most for your everyday life.
