Finally, classes to help you get the most of your iPhone or iPad! These classes are taught using an iPhone as the teaching tool. Bring your device fully charged. Bring your Apple ID and password to class. Participants need to be a current UA Senior Association member.

PHYSICAL FEATURES & PHONE APP This first class is an introduction to the basics and buttons for using your iPhone. We also discuss the most important app on your iPhone; the Phone app, which covers placing calls, saving contacts, using speed-dial and checking voicemail. 553221 A 1-3 pm M 9/11 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 APP STORE, APPLE ID & IOS UPDATES The App Store is the answer to the question of “How do I get more apps?” Apple provides an unbelievable amount of apps for you to discover and they all require using your Apple ID. We discuss how and where your Apple ID is used and include a discussion on how to keep your iPhone If you know any Millennials, you already know that you cannot communicate with them unless you can text. There is a lot to know about the Messages app, so come and learn some new texting skills. We cover texting basics, dictation, voice-messaging, tapbacks, animated gifs and more. 553223 A 1-3 pm M 9/25 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SAFARI Safari is Apple’s built-in web browser and it can be used to look up information quickly on your iPhone, a critical skill that everyone should possess. FACETIME Similar to Zoom, FaceTime is Apple’s app for making video-calls using the Internet, instead of a phone signal. We discuss how to place, answer and schedule FaceTime calls, even calls with

This demo class briefly introduces you to five apps that expand the capabilities of your mobile devices. We discover an app that everyone in Columbus needs to have to pay for parking downtown, as well as an app to help you find where you parked your car. Discover the app that turns language learning into a fun game, a great recipe manager and a clever puzzle adventure game. 553228 A 1-3 pm M 11/6 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 CAMERA 1 This fun class demonstrates how to use the powerful camera app on your iPhone. This first session focuses on taking basic shots, as well as using Night mode, Live Photos, Selfies, Bursts, Portrait mode and more. 553233 A 1-3 pm M 11/13 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 CAMERA 2 This follow-up session continues where we left off in the first session, discussing other camera modes like Video, Slow-motion, Time-lapse and Panoramic mode.
