Teaching methods include weekly handouts with pronunciation exercises, essential grammar and helpful vocabulary for travel and social interaction. In-class conversation practice is included as well as some homework each week. Weekly worksheets are provided with essential grammar, pronunciation exercises and new vocabulary. In-class conversation practice is included and some homework is required. SHAKESPEARE – MACBETH | 50+ YRS Brad Bradford Have you ever wanted to read a Shakespeare play but did not do so, because you thought it just was not for you? Or, perhaps you read a Shakespeare play, but did not get much out of it. We read the plays and assess the characters, plots and themes. Much of the focus examines the themes and ask three questions: What can you learn of value about yourself? Other people? Humanity and the world in general? Bring your own copy of Macbeth for this session. 553555 A 1-2 pm Tu 9/26-11/7 (skip 10/10) Senior Center Bldg 2, Rm 204 $30 O 6 sessions FLIGHT 93 - REAL AMERICAN HEROES | 50+ YRS Van Young The talk tells the story, hour by hour, of one of the four planes hijacked by terrorists and used to attack America on September 11, 2001. It is the only one of the four planes that did not accomplish its mission. You learn about how the brave passengers of Flight 93 sacrificed their lives so that other Americans could live. A chilling reminder of 9/11 and how shocking that day was for all of us. It is Americans at their finest. Some with shame and others with profound distinction.
