MAC COMPUTER SERIES | 50+ YRS Gregg Montgomery, TechKnowledge The Mac series is for anyone who wants to learn more about how to use their Mac computer. The casual setting of the Mac Lab means there is plenty of opportunity for questions along the way. Participants use our Mac laptops for each class. INTRO TO MAC APPS This class introduces you to the built-in apps that come with your Mac. We go over basic terms and vocabulary to help build an understanding of your Mac. We discuss how to use the Dock, Desktop and Menu Bar. 553206 A 1-3 pm Tu 9/10 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 ORGANIZING YOUR FILES We use the Finder to get organized, a skill everyone needs! We discuss creating folders, moving documents to where they should go and how to come up with a good organizational plan. 553207 A 1-3 pm Tu 9/17 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SURFING THE WEB WITH SAFARI Safari is the Mac’s built-in web browser. We discuss how to use Safari to surf the Web, create and organize bookmarks and Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 CONTACTS, GROUPS & MAILING LABELS The Contacts app is more powerful than many know. Not only is the Contacts app your digital rolodex, but it can also help you create Groups to simplify communicating with groups of people. WINDOWS 10 SERIES | 50+ YRS Gregg Montgomery, TechKnowledge Whether you are new to the Windows operating system or just want a refresher, these classes are for you. Participants use our computers for each class. INTRO TO WINDOWS This class covers everything you need to know to get started. We talk about Icons, the Taskbar, Start Menu, Apps, Tiles and Notifications. Learn how to get around and find various features within your Windows 10 environment. 553271 A 1-3 pm Tu 10/29 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 ORGANIZING YOUR FILES This class is all about using File Explorer to create folders to organize your documents. We discuss the folders that Windows provides to help you get started and how to create your own hierarchy of folders as you get organized. 553272 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/5 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 SAFARI SAVVY - EXPLORING THE WEB WITH EASE Learn how to use Windows built-in web browser, Microsoft Edge. We discuss how to store and organize your favorite web pages as bookmarks for easy access later, as well as ways to stay safe online. 553273 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/12 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 CONTACTS, CALENDARS & EMAIL IN THE NEW OUTLOOK Microsoft has finally made a free version of Outlook available for everyone without a subscription to Microsoft 365. We discuss the benefits of transitioning over to using Outlook from webmail services, as well as how to use this new app for easy access to email, contacts and calendars. 553274 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/19 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22 MANAGING YOUR PHOTOS Learn how to import photos over to your PC, as well as use the My Pictures folder in cooperation with the Photos app to organize, edit and share your photos. 553275 A 1-3 pm Tu 11/26 Senior Center Bldg 3, Rm 301 $22
